A deliciously rich and moist cake soaked in a blend of three milks, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine flour and baking powder in a bowl, whisking until mixed.
  3. Cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Mix the flour mixture into the butter mixture until just combined.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cake completely in the dish.
  8. Prepare the milk mixture by combining evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and whole milk.
  9. Soak the cake by poking holes and pouring the milk mixture over it.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  11. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  12. Assemble by spreading whipped cream over the cake before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled, optionally topped with cinnamon or fresh berries. Best enjoyed with family and friends.
