A delightful fusion of juicy smash burgers wrapped in soft tortillas, topped with fresh vegetables and creamy sauces.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American)
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet: Begin by heating a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and adding a little oil.
  2. Divide and smash: Divide the ground beef into small balls and place them on the skillet. Press down to smash the meat into a thin patty.
  3. Cook and flip: Allow the patties to cook for about 2-3 minutes until they’re nicely browned. Flip them over to cook the other side.
  4. Cheese please!: Once flipped, top each patty with shredded cheese, allowing it to melt into the hot meat.
  5. Warm the tortillas: While your patties are cooking, warm the tortillas in a separate pan or microwave.
  6. Assemble the tacos: Place a smashed burger patty on each warmed tortilla, then layer on diced onions, juicy tomatoes, crunchy pickles, a drizzle of mayonnaise, and a touch of mustard.
  7. Serve and enjoy: Serve the tacos immediately while they’re hot.

Notes

Quality ground beef (80/20 for best flavor) and fresh toppings make a world of difference.
