Fudgy red velvet brownies combining the richness of cocoa and the vibrant color of red velvet, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a large mixing bowl and stir in the sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the red food coloring and vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the white chocolate chips, if using.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes

For best texture, don’t overmix the batter. Use gel food coloring for a more vibrant color.
