Ingredients
- Chicken Wings: 2 pounds, trimmed and patted dry
- Pineapple Juice: 1 cup, fresh or canned
- Brown Sugar: 1/2 cup, packed
- Honey: 1/4 cup
- Apple Cider Vinegar: 1/4 cup
- Chili Flakes: 1 tablespoon, adjust to taste
- Garlic Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
- Pineapple Chunks: 1 cup, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar, chili flakes, garlic powder, and salt. Whisk until well mixed.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated in the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the marinated wings on the rack in a single layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
- During the last 10 minutes of baking, brush the wings with additional marinade for extra flavor.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh pineapple chunks before serving.
Notes
For extra crispy wings, make sure to pat them dry properly before marinating. Adjust chili flakes based on your spice preference.
