A comforting Mississippi Pot Roast that brings family together with tender beef and flavorful gravy.

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds of chuck roast
  • 1 packet of ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet of au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
  • 5 to 7 pepperoncini peppers
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. Place the chuck roast in a roasting pan, ensuring it’s nestled comfortably without being crowded.
  3. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the top of the roast.
  4. Place the butter on top of the roast.
  5. Add the pepperoncini peppers around the roast.
  6. Cover the pan tightly with foil and let it cook for 5 to 7 hours.
  7. Serve the roast with the delightful juices or pile it high on soft buns.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
