Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk the egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add granulated sugar to the egg whites and whip until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in almond flour and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Pipe the meringue onto prepared baking sheets in round shapes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until crisp and lightly golden.
- Whip the heavy cream to soft peaks and fold in chopped toasted almonds.
- Spread or pipe the almond cream onto half of the meringues and top with the remaining meringues.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
