Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until combined.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a large resealable bag and pour the marinade over them, sealing the bag and shaking gently to coat.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Remove chicken from marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Reserve the marinade for later.
  6. Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  7. Bring the reserved marinade to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, simmering until thickened, about 5-10 minutes.
  8. Drizzle the thickened balsamic glaze over cooked chicken and garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, consider adding fresh herbs to the marinade or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
