Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the milk until just combined.
- Knead the dough gently on a floured surface and roll out to about 1/2 inch thick.
- Prepare the apple filling by mixing apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Assemble the sandwiches by placing half the circles on a baking sheet, spooning the apple mixture on top, and covering with the remaining circles.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
- Serve warm, optionally topped with whipped cream.
Notes
